Tennis Tournaments

Tennis players spend most of their time playing competitive tennis from one tennis tournament to another. These tennis tournaments are the events where they can meet fellow tennis players and challenge for top honors. While there are major international tennis tournaments that every tennis player aspires to participate in, smaller competitions are also very popular events in the localities where they are held.

Other than the four major Grand Slam events, the tournament that is most attractive to professional tennis players is the Nasdaq 100 Tennis Tournament Open, which is considered the 5th largest tennis competition in the world. The Nasdaq 100 tennis tournament was established in 1985 and it is the most important tournament after the four Grand Slam tournaments. Aside from the results of the Wimbledon tennis tournaments and other Grand Slam competitions, the performances of tennis players in this tournament also matter significantly in the distribution of world ranking points.

Aside from the big tennis competitions, there are also smaller competitions in which tennis players can test their prowess in the game. There are tennis tournaments in California for professional tennis players within the region, including the Paso Robles tennis tournament, the Indian Wells tennis tournament and the San Diego tennis tournaments. There are also a few other tennis competitions in other states, like the area tennis tournaments in Milford, MA and even college tennis team tournaments such as the Colorado State tennis tournament Pueblo.

For juniors of the sport, there is a good variety of tennis tournaments in which they can showcase their tennis talents. The Eddie Herr tennis tournaments, although some people may mistakenly refer to it as the “Eddie Heir tennis tournaments”, invite junior tennis players from all over the world to compete. This tournament is said to be launching pad of the tennis careers of such notable tennis greats like Steffi Graf, Anna Kournikova and Andy Roddick, just to name a few.

One other important tournament that is very popular among tennis players is the British tennis tournament called the Stella Artois tennis tournament which is held in London. Other tournaments you can also look out for include the Pilot Pen tennis tournament and the Baush and Lomb tennis tournament, both rather high profile tennis competitions that feature some of the biggest names in tennis. Some tennis tournaments are more lucrative than others in terms of prize money and prestige, and these usually vary according to the generosity of the sponsorship.
