Volleyball

The sport of volleyball has been around for decades. In fact, it has been around since 1895 when it was introduced as a recreational sport in Massachusetts. This sport of volleyball involves two teams who try to gain points by trying to get the opposing team to miss hitting the ball on their side of the net or by getting them to hit outside the boundaries of the regulation court of the volley ball game. The person who is said to have invented volleyball is a YMCA P.E. Director named William Morgan.

There are different volleyball variations, although the game rules remain the same, the volleyballs used or volleyball stuff that is being utilized by the players are different for some of the games. A volleyball variation that is fast gaining popularity in comparison to its indoor counterpart is the game of beach volleyball. While conventional volleyball games have six players to each team, the game of beach volleyball only has two. The rules remain essentially the same, though and the moves, like the volleyball spike, are still a useful move to bring into play during crucial moments of the game.

Aside from the Olympics, the sport of volleyball is also being played in different areas and arenas all over the world. There are varsity teams for college and high school volleyball and there are students who create volleyball cheers to help boost the morale of their team in the match that they are in. This sport is often associated with women and a lot of volleyball babes can be seen on the court and on the beach during these tournaments and matches. The usual uniforms that these players wear are either ultra sexy shorts or bikini bottoms paired with volleyball shirts that have the team's name, the player's name and number on it.
